An Evening of Celebration: The Annual CSTD Awards Ceremony
We warmly invite you to join us for our prestigious annual awards ceremony, a landmark event dedicated to honouring the hard work and exceptional talent of our students. This special evening will be held at the beautiful and historic Ritz Theatre on Friday, January 30th.
Celebrating Academic and Artistic Excellence
This ceremony is dedicated to celebrating the achievements of our exceptional CSTD (Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing) students. The highlight of the evening will be the official presentation of their hard-earned CSTD examinations certifications. This recognition marks the culmination of their rigorous training and dedication to their craft.
A Showcase of Inspiring Performances
The evening will not only be a moment of acknowledgement but also a vibrant showcase of talent. Guests will be treated to a series of outstanding performances, featuring:
The South West Movement Company: Our elite company will present a captivating piece, demonstrating the high caliber of performance and choreography fostered within our dance company.
Selected CSTD Students: A hand-picked group of CSTD students will take to the stage to perform pieces that exemplify their technical skill and artistic expression.
Our Honours Plus Students: These advanced students will deliver breathtaking performances.
Prestigious Awards and Recognitions
Beyond the presentation of official certificates, we will be announcing several highly anticipated annual awards:
Dancer of the Year: Two coveted awards will be presented: the Teachers' Choice and the Students' Choice. These awards recognise the dancers who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, artistry, positive learning attitude and leadership throughout the year.
Special Shout Out Awards: Our dedicated teachers will be presenting these unique awards to acknowledge students who have shown significant progress, exceptional spirit, or provided invaluable support to their peers.
Event Details and Dress Code
The evening will commence promptly with canapés served on arrival. This is a wonderful opportunity for guests to mingle before the main event.
Schedule: Performances and the awards presentation will start at 6:00 PM. We aim for the ceremony to conclude by 7:30 PM at the very latest, ensuring a streamlined and enjoyable experience for all.
Dress Code: We request that all attendees observe a formal attire dress code for this special evening. To maintain the elegance of the occasion, please note that trainers are strictly prohibited as footwear for all dancers.
For Award Recipients: Dancers who are receiving awards are required to wear dresses or smart attire only. Your participation in adhering to this formal dress code adds to the prestige of the event.
